  1. Openprovider

    Jul 2026 - Present

    Openprovider is an ICANN-accredited domain registrar based in Rotterdam, fully remote, with a team spread across more than 25 countries.

    1. AI Agent Engineer

      Jul 2026 - Present

      Building AI agent tooling for the wider engineering team, on its own Kubernetes/GKE and Postgres stack.

  2. Independent / Self-Employed

    Feb 2025 - Present

    Independent / Self-Employed is the closest thing to a company name for the work nobody assigned me: Al-Hadra, a freelance client build, and the smaller tools I kept needing.

  3. Understory.io (Holdbar.com A/S)

    Jul 2023 - Feb 2025

    Understory (now Holdbar.com A/S) is a software-as-a-service company delivering licensed software for the tours and activities industry, and it's where TrueStory's own founders went next.

    1. Senior Product Developer

      Jul 2023 - Feb 2025

      Nineteen months at Understory (now Holdbar.com A/S), consulting, mostly remote from Colombo with two months on-site at their Aarhus headquarters to help onboard and work directly with clients.

  4. TrueStory

    May 2021 - Feb 2023

    TrueStory is a Scandinavian experience platform: customers browse, book, or gift activities and accommodations across three Nordic markets.

    1. Tech-Lead, Bookings Core

      Nov 2021 - Feb 2023

      Promoted to Tech-Lead for Bookings Core in November 2021, sixteen months into the TrueStory relationship.

    2. Senior Backend Developer

      May 2021 - Nov 2021

      The first six months at TrueStory, before the promotion to Tech-Lead.

  5. APIIT Sri Lanka

    Feb 2022 - Oct 2022

    APIIT is where I did my own BSc, taught through Staffordshire University's partnership programme.

    1. Visiting Lecturer

      Feb 2022 - Oct 2022

      I taught the clean-coding half of the final-year "Clean Coding & Concurrent Programming" module in Java to Staffordshire University students at APIIT, my own alma mater, while working full-time at TrueStory on the side: clean code, Clean Architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles, and TDD.

      The promotion to Senior Software Engineer landed in the middle of a warehousing project for an Australian construction-industry client, which is the main thing this shorter stretch is defined by.

    Part-time, validated by Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and taught through the Informatics Institute of Technology in Colombo, January 2020 through November 2022, done alongside full-time work for almost all of it: Zone24x7 through the end of that first year, a short gap, then TrueStory from May 2021 through to the end, with a part-time APIIT visiting-lecturer stint running in parallel through most of 2022.

    2015 to 2018, taught at APIIT Lanka under Staffordshire's UK degree, First Class, 83.66% overall.

  4. Pearson Edexcel International O Level, Leighton Park International School

    Jan 2014 - Jun 2014

    Seven subjects at Leighton Park, one more through a separate exam center the same sitting: Biology, Chemistry, Commerce, Mathematics, and Physics all came back A*, English Language and Human Biology both A, and Information and Communication Technology, sat through Skills for Life, another A.
