2015 to 2018, taught at APIIT Lanka under Staffordshire's UK degree, First Class, 83.66% overall. Best Graduate of the School of Computing (Software Engineering) in 2018, the APIIT Gold Medal, plus two Honour Roll placements along the way for finishing Level 4 and Level 5 each in the top 10% of the cohort. 2nd runner-up at IEEE CloudHack in 2017 too, organized by the UCSC student branch, outside the coursework entirely.

The degree ran from pure fundamentals (C, algorithms, data structures, operating systems, networking) through a full spread of paradigms, procedural C, object-oriented Java and C#, concurrent programming, enterprise Java EE, before the final year project gave a full year to something self-directed and mobile-first rather than another module brief.

Along the way: real-time systems, database design, event-driven GUIs, each one forcing a different kind of thinking, and eventually a system built and shipped alone rather than assessed piece by piece.
