LAN/WAN network design

Type
Project

Network design and simulation coursework, entirely in Cisco Packet Tracer rather than physical hardware: routers, switches, and a full LAN/WAN topology built and tested in simulation.

IP addressing and subnetting had to work out cleanly across the whole design, NAT handled the boundary between private and public address space, RIP routing moved traffic between segments, and VLANs separated traffic logically within what would otherwise be one flat network.

It's foundational networking, not applied to any one system the way the degree's application-layer projects were, and it stayed that way deliberately, the module wanted the addressing and routing discipline understood cleanly in isolation before it became a background assumption in every backend and infrastructure project that came later, at Zone24x7 and well beyond it.
