Operating systems evaluation

Written coursework, not a build: evaluating operating-system choices for a business scenario, an estate agent's office rather than a generic case study, and analyzing the file access-control mechanisms different OS options would offer that business. The assignment asked for a real recommendation, not a neutral comparison table, weighing which access-control model actually fit an estate agent's need to restrict sensitive client and property records to specific staff.

No code came out of this one, the module's whole point was operating-systems theory applied to a genuine business requirement rather than to a lab exercise, reasoning about permissions, users, and groups the way an actual IT decision-maker would before any implementation choice gets made.

It sits next to the degree's build-heavy modules as a reminder that not every piece of software engineering ends in shipped code.
