SCIENTIA24x7: knowledge-sharing initiative

SCIENTIA24x7 was Zone24x7's company-wide knowledge-sharing initiative. I was a member of the software engineering quality and best-practices focus group, and I was the owner and publisher of "A Daily Dose of Best Practices," a mailing group that shared vetted software engineering practices with every technical employee daily, and I showed up to more than 90% of the initiative's knowledge-sharing events over my two and a half years there.

Beyond the mailing group, I ran:

• design-thinking sessions at both team and company-wide scale
• department and product introduction sessions for new hires and for visiting university students
• an introduction-to-IoT session for University of Colombo students
• an object-oriented design and design-patterns session for an embedded-systems team
• technical induction sessions on best practices and unit testing for new joiners

None of those were assigned tasks. SCIENTIA24x7 ran on people volunteering time, and this is what I chose to spend mine on.
