Matrix24x7: computer-vision analytics integration

Zone24x7's computer-vision analytics integration is where I first led a backend team, during the project's early stages, and where I dealt directly with clients and higher management rather than through a layer of project management. The backend ran on Java SE with Docker and the Docker Daemon API, moving events through Kafka and Zookeeper, and integrated directly with two pieces of real security-camera infrastructure: Axis Camera's API and Genetec Security Center.

I introduced Clean Architecture to the project and then refactored the entire agent codebase to comply with it, not a partial cleanup on new code going forward but a full pass through what already existed, because the agent sat close enough to hardware and client-facing behavior that a messy dependency graph would have made every future change riskier than it needed to be.

Mentoring trainee engineers and interviewing candidates ran alongside the technical work, same as on every other Zone24x7 project, but this was the one where the architecture call was mine to make and defend.
